What happens around your site.
Substation, waterworks, hospital or radio mast: whoever is responsible for supply needs the site's surroundings in view, from the terrain through the airspace to the weather. SovAtlas puts it into one picture, on maps that only those who should see them can see.

The film circles a hospital with the surrounding buildings in the colour of their sector, approaches a city with coloured critical infrastructure, shows drone geo-zones as volumes above the terrain, a map of disrupted satellite positioning, the viewshed from a hill and a raised water level in a river valley.
- Who lives and works around it? Surroundings of a hospital by sector
- What is critical in the surroundings. Colouring by sector
- The airspace above the site. Drone geo-zones as volumes
- Where satellite positioning is disrupted. GPS interference
- From where can the site be seen? Viewshed over terrain
- What if the water rises? Water level as a horizontal surface
Trailer, 38 seconds: the surroundings of a hospital, buildings by sector, drone geo-zones, GPS interference, a viewshed and a water level. All footage taken from the product.
One site, four perspectives.
Site security, crisis team, operations and management ask about the same place, with different questions. The German KRITIS umbrella act requires operators to carry out risk analysis, keep a resilience plan and report incidents.
Know the surroundings
- Drone geo-zones, reported aircraft and disrupted satellite positioning above the site.
- The viewshed: from where the site can be seen.
- Access roads, terrain and buildings in 3D.
KRITIS umbrella act: monitoring the surroundings as a resilience measure
Who is affected?
- Hospitals, care homes, schools and water facilities in the surroundings.
- Residents in the 100-metre grid of the 2022 census.
- Official warnings and DWD weather on the same map.
Incident reports with the affected area
Risks with a place
- Flood zones and a water level to play through.
- Drinking water and medicinal spring protection zones.
- Terrain, slope and forest in the surroundings.
Risk analysis on site instead of in a spreadsheet
Turning the picture into a plan
- Crisis plans following BSI Standard 200-4 with KRITISplan.
- Five phases, seven mandatory details per measure.
- Exercises on the same scenario, with the municipality and fire brigade.
Resilience plan and exercises
Which buildings in the surroundings are critical themselves?

Buildings carry the colour of their critical infrastructure sector, derived from their use in the cadastre: health, supply, safety and rescue, education and care, and state and administration.
One look shows which hospital, school or supply facility sits next to the site and how many people live around it.
- Buildings coloured by sector, function from the cadastre on click
- Population grid of the 2022 census
- Your sites and protection zones as a protected layer
- Assembly points and access routes from your plan in the same picture
What is in the air above the site?

Above the site, the drone geo-zones stand as volumes, each with its altitude band and legal basis on click. Reported air traffic and satellite positioning interference are added.
Site security and crisis team see which rules apply above the site, where reported aircraft are flying and where positioning is disrupted.
- Drone geo-zones with the legal basis on click
- Reported aircraft and GPS interference
- Your protection zones and restricted areas as a layer of their own
From where can the terrain be seen?

From a point on the ground or on a roof, the viewshed shows which areas around it can be seen; the observer stands at 2 to 500 metres.
A pre-selection for searches, site security and site planning: which hill, which roof and which road have a view of the site.
- Viewshed over terrain and buildings, from the ground or from a roof
- Viewsheds of your cameras and masts as a layer
Does the site lie by the water, and what if it rises?

Designated and provisionally secured flood zones lie over the buildings; an assumed water level can be raised as a horizontal surface.
Preparedness with a picture: which site, which hospital and which waterworks lie in the same valley, and where emergency power or an alternative route should be prepared.
- Flood zones and the water level to play through
- Official warnings across Germany
- Your sites within flood zones as a list
- Gauges of your region in the same picture
Protected layers stay protected.
SovAtlas shows the power grid and critical infrastructure layers on protected maps only, behind a password or personal access link. The database allows no other assignment, for any role.
- Sites, protection zones, access routes, assembly points, your documents per building
- Hospitals, schools, care homes, water facilities, population grid
- Drone geo-zones, air traffic, GPS interference
- Flood zones, protected areas, official warnings, weather
- 3D buildings with height and function from the cadastre
- Terrain, aerial imagery, parcels
- Access per map via password or an individually revocable personal access link.
- Write access only with a second factor; every change is logged with person and time.
- Documents per building: data sheet, photo, video or your specialist application, opened with one click.
- Your sites and specialist data as a protected layer, from your GIS via WMS or WFS.
- One map per task: site security, crisis team, management.
- Exercises on the same scenario with KRITISplan.
